Provides a distraction for students so they don’t focus as much.

Hurts communication skills (relying on technology instead of verbal skills).

Potential advantages of using technology in the classroom Helps second language students (because Spanish is becoming

new popular language). Makes classrooms more organized. Improves quality of teaching and learning. Improves educational methods and delivery. Makes class more exciting and engaging for students. Helps children complete difficult homework related tasks more

quickly and with more ease. Improves achievement of students (gives them more than a book

to use). Adaptable to all learning levels. Makes students more self reliant (ex: teachers teach how to use

something and then stand back and watch the kids figure out and become proficient at using it).

Prepares students for the future ( technology is what these kids grew up with and it is the future).
