A National Iniciative to develop science in Ecuador

Foreign scientists are required a 4 months stay minimum in the country. This can be nonconsecutive periods of time not exceeding a maximum period of one year. After one year, the contract can be renewed for an additional 12-month period.

Ecuadorian scientists, living abroad, recovered through Prometheus must complete a minimum stay of one consecutive year; their contract can also be renewed for an additional 12 month period.
