Bobcat Business from Mrs. Roberts: We are continuing to work very hard and intentionally to ensure that your student is successful both aca-
demically and socially during 4th Quarter. Thank you for helping to make sure that your student is present and in their classroom before the tardy bell rings each day at 7:40. Each minute is vital as we are preparing our "Small P.A.W.S. to Make Big Impressions". Lakewood is supported by amazing par-ents and families; thank you for your continued dedication working with us to do what is best for our Bobcats. We hope that everyone finds time to relax and enjoy Spring Break with family and friends!
Yours In Education, Katherine Roberts

NURSE NOTES: ~Barbara Ramsbottom, R.N. The symptoms of gastroenteritis are nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea accompanied by abdominal cramps. Some people also complain of headache, fever, chills and muscle aches. Symptoms are usually brief and last only one or two days. However, during that period, people can feel very ill and vomit, often violently and without
warning, many times a day. Symptoms usually begin 24 to 48 hours after ingestion of the virus, but can appear as early as 12 hours after exposure.
Give your child plenty of liquids, to replace the liquids Wash your hands and your child’s hands! Hand washing prevents the spread of germs.
Keep your child home from school until 24 hours fever free without medication
Contact your child’s healthcare provider if any of the following occur:
• The diarrhea lasts for more than 3 days
• Your child has very bad stomach pain
• Your child is also vomiting
• Your child is not urinating as much as usual. Your child’s mouth and eyes look dry
• Your child has a temperature that is 101 o F or higher by mouth or
100 o F or higher under the arm.
• Your child acts like he or she feels very bad http://www.scdhec.gov/library/D-2333.pdf
