glacier bay national parkPrincess Cruises® is an authorized
concessioner of Glacier Bay National Park.
The awe-inspiring scenery of 3.3-acre Glacier Bay National Park
never disappoints. From snowcapped mountaintops to deep fjords
and freshwater streams, the magnificence of nature is abundant. This
UNESCO-listed national treasure hosts eight of the world’s most
spectacular tidewater glaciers. Humpback whales, sea otters, porpoises
and harbor seals enjoy the waters, while black bears and mountain
goats wander through the pristine parkland, which you can learn about
through the knowledgeable Park Rangers who join you on board.
tracy arm fjord
Tracy Arm Fjord’s scenery stuns with its exquisite, wild beauty. Traverse
down the narrow waterway past a deep forest. Sparkling waterfalls
cascade from high above, while massive glaciers create the perfect
backdrop for your picturesque view. This famed fjord is a glittering
gem near Juneau, protected within the Tongass National Forest.
The enormous Twin Sawyer Glaciers sit at the end of the fjord.

college fjord
College Fjord not only boasts the world’s largest collection of tidewater glaciers —
including the massive Harvard Glacier — but countless opportunities to
experience the roar of “white thunder,” as enormous pillars of ice break off from
the glaciers and crash into the surrounding seas. Discovered in the northwest
corner of Prince William Sound during an 1899 research expedition, College
Fjord and its glaciers were named after prestigious East Coast schools.
hubbard glacier A colossal mass of snow and ice, 76 miles long and 1,200 feet deep. Its
phenomenal, clear blue hues shimmer in the sunlight. North America’s
largest tidewater glacier is defined by its awe-inspiring beauty — one
of the most stunning wonders in the Great Land. Galloping toward
Disenchantment Bay, Hubbard Glacier often calves icebergs the size
of 10-story buildings. This immense and awesome sight to behold
will leave you feeling small, even on your ship’s uppermost deck.

voyage of the glaciers
HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR TOP-RATED CRUISE:
• Glacier Bay National Park — named one of the 7 Cruise
Wonders of the World by Condé Nast Traveler.
• Sail over 500 miles farther north across the Gulf
of Alaska and into Prince William Sound.
• A second glacier-viewing experience among the
16 glaciers at College Fjord, or Hubbard Glacier —
the longest tidewater glacier in Alaska.
• Visit Gold Rush-era towns as you
cruise the Inside Passage.
It’s a sound that reaches into the depths of your soul —
forever embedded in your sensory mind. The echoing
roar of “white thunder.” It starts with a crackle. A chunk
of ice the size of a house starts to separate from a glacier.
More crunching. Then a thundering whoosh. The
frozen mass detaches and crashes to the sea below. The
boom that follows reverberates throughout your body.
Glaciers are some of nature’s greatest spectacles, and
our Voyage of the Glaciers cruise provides two iconic
glacier-viewing experiences — Glacier Bay National
Park and either College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier. This
top-rated Princess® itinerary — the premier way to see
the Great Land by sea — also takes you to some of the
state’s most celebrated ports, and sails 500 miles farther
north across the Gulf of Alaska, so you can catch more
scenic views that take your breath away. And in 2019,
Royal Princess® joins the Alaska fleet, adding her unique
touch of refined beauty to this unbelievable journey.
