Initiative intended to support the entrepreneurial DESAL+ LIVING
LAB ecosystem and develop a public procurement procedure
for pre-commercial technological desalination solutions to
attract highly innovative ideas/projects in the international
market to be implemented in Gran Canaria.
Facilitate the investment in and the testing of solutions put
forward by innovative startups. Initiative open to any natural or
legal person, whether public or private, to end up with a solution
close to the market. The risks and profits will be shared with the contracting body.

Subvention granted by Cabildo de Gran Canaria, through the Society for the Economic
Promotion of Gran Canaria (SPEGC) to ITC , to develop a comprehensive, experimental R&D&i activities connected to the exploitation of the island's marine resources, amounting to a total
of SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND EUROS (€600,000), within the framework of a Collaboration
Agreement between Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Spanish Ministry of Science and
Innovation.

Inform the economic operators about the plans and requirements to participate in the subsequent PCPP procedure, assessing the market capabilities and defining the functional specifications that imply innovation and can be achieved through a PCPP procedure

The document explaining any potential ideas of solutions submitted within the framework of this
market consultation will not make reference to brands, patents or products or any other elements
protected by intellectual or industrial property rights.
The technological contents of the solution must be preferably free from such references. However,
if this is not the case and the solutions is based on technology subject to patents or to Intellectual
and Industrial Property Rights (IPRs) owned by the applicant or third parties, this must be
specifically pointed out in the proposal, specifying the contents that are protected, how they are
protected and who holds the ownership of the patents or rights. Besides, the owner must provide a
document stating that he/she is willing to grant the use or exploitation of such IPRs to the
contracting body.
The use of the contents of the proposals submitted to the Consultation is exclusively restricted to its
potential inclusion in the process of the definition of the project that will be implemented in the
specifications of a potential PCPP procedure that may take place afterwards.
