Pray for Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia with around 6

million people. The majority lives in the capital, Bishkek, which

has over 1 million people.

In April, Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev was overthrown after a day of bloody clashes between police and protesters

in the Kyrgyz capital.

An interim government made up of opposition politicians took power.

Bakiev went to neighboring Kazakhstan days after.

Every Nation has works going on

in Kyrgyzstan for over three years

now. We have a small group and local

disciples whom we continue to help get established in the

faith.

Prayer Points • Pray for grace, wisdom, strength, health and protection for our workers in Kyrgyzstan. Pray for creative strategies to effectively reach out to the Kyrgyz people.

• Pray for divine favor for our long-term missionaries especially for their visas to be approved. Pray for favor and protection for the Ten Days Missions teams who will go to Bishkek in November.

• Pray for peace and unity for the nation of Kyrgyzstan and for a peaceful presidential election on October 10 – pray for the rightful leaders to be put in position.

• Pray for spiritual growth for the local disciples and for leaders to be raised and established in the faith.

• Pray against religious restrictions and for the government to allow the gospel to be shared freely.
