APPARATUS

• MAGNET ( BAR OR U SHAPED)

• A CIRCLE SHAPED STEROFORM WITH DIAMETER OF 1,5 – 2 CM

• NEEDLE

• BIG NAIL

• 5 SMALL NAILS OR PAPER CLIPS

• BATTERY

• COOPER WIRE 30 CM – 50 CM OF LENGTH

• COMPASS

PROCEDURE

1.Make a simple compass by using Styrofoam and needle thus put in on the water, turn the needle in to a bar magnet with stroking (for plus mark) or use compass as magnetic field detector (for normal mark)

2.Make magnet by following ways:

STROKING

Test your magnet!

INDUCING

This is the easiest ways!

1.Stick big nail and magnet together

2.Use the big nail to attract small nails

3.Leave it that way for a while

4.Test your new magnet

USING DIRECT CURRENT

1.Twist wire on big nail orderly

2.Connect the edges of the wire to the battery anode and cathode

3.Test your new magnet

4.Write a report of this activity on a paper
