Both Toyota and Mazda are two of the premier automotive producers in the world, with combined sales in excess of $250 billion for 2016.

In early 2017, these two companies announced to create a Joint-Venture Entity to build a new $1.6 billion U.S. auto assembly plant

for the production of both the Toyota Corolla and a new Mazda crossover vehicle.

In August 2017, with the assistance of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), Toyota-Mazda issued Request for Proposals (RFP’s) to

multiple locations throughout the United States.

Over 100 sites in more than 25 States were considered.
