Things to be Concerned About:

• Follow MIST guidelines – “Light hand on the land.”• Dozer lines in riparian zones.• Retardant in riparian zones (not less than 300’).• Water drafting in steelhead trout habitat.• Backfiring through riparian areas.• Clearing woody debris out of streams.• Heavy equipment or petroleum in water.• Dipping or drafting in red-legged frog or sea water.• Use of truck washing stations.

After the Fire• The Suppression Rehab. Team rehabilitates the

dozer lines, handlines, basecamp, helispots and other areas impacted from fire suppression tactics.

• The Burned Area Emergency Rehabilitation (BAER) team assesses and plans the rehab. of areas damaged from fire that will likely experience excessive erosion, flooding and debris flows.
