All the Wise Owls know where the fun will be this weekend as JonesPond celebrates Fall with some mind-teasing fun and games. This falltradition has become a hit with Seasonal and Weekend Campers alikeand this year is no different. Put on your Smarty Pants and head up toBrain Teasers in the Barn, Friday at 8pm. Enjoy fun and campy trivia-style games with Moxie as your “nutty professor”. Afterwards warmyour noggins by the campfire with Kurt and Todd and dancing in thebarn with VJ Dennis at 10pm.

On Saturday it’s a great day to hit the trailsfor one last hike for the season and enjoy theinvigorating fall weather. But don’t miss theEuchre Tournament at 2pm in the barn.There is a $20 entry fee and winners willreceive cash and fabulous prizes. ContactMoxie or E mail Jones pond by Wed. Sept 21to sign up. Walk-ins also welcome.

Following the tournament, Jones Pond will host Wine Tasting with Cheese and Appetizers at5pm and all are welcome. Bring a bottle to share. At 9pm, join Doug in the barn for a LineDance request and refresher session before the Saturday night Heads and Tales Disco withVJ Ben. Come out and dance, laugh and recall fun memories and stories from the summerof 2011.

This is the weekend to be a real “smart ass” as you tax your brain and test your IQ… so let thegames begin!

The Gothic Princessattends Halloween @ the Pond

Howdy Y’all:I can’t begin to tell you what a great fun it hasbeen as your guest columnist in the JonesPond GayZette. I am so jealous that mycousin Anita Traylor got to come up for theFabulous 50’s weekend. She just can’t sayenough nice things about all you sweet boysat the “POND”…as she calls it.

From the pictures, my home in Spring Ditch,South Carolina, just can’t compare to thatbeautiful Jones Pond. Oh we’ve got a barnand a café too, but it doubles as Bubba’sBait & Tackle as well as his auto shop,Bubba’s Lube & Ride. It’s like a “one stop”shop and it’s the only place in town whereyou can get a grilled cheese, a dozen blood-worms and an oil change in less than 30 min-utes and pay at the same cash register. So,you see…we do have all the conveniences.

Anita tells me y’all have a pool and a placewhere boys can run around “necked”!!Lordy, I can just imagine a whole trailer parkfull of bouncing tally-whackers. We tried Un-derwear night at Bubba’s Bowl-O-Rama oneSaturday night, but one team got so ham-mered they took all their clothes and werebowling in their birthday suits. The policehauled all of them to the Spring Ditch CountyJail.

I hope to get up there some day and see allthose fancy trailers and handsome boys, butin the meantime, y’all have a good winter andstay safe and warm. I’ll be thinking about youas I pop open an ice cold Schlitz with my feetpropped on my nice big deck down south.
