PHOENIX CUT CHARTS for the OXY-FUEL CUTTING PROCESS
• For decades CNC controls used for oxy-fuel cutting were concerned only with the cutting path.
• In the past, process control was the responsibility of the machine operator.
• The demands of industry require that today’s CNC controls assume responsibility for BOTH path and process parameters.
• Controlling only path is no longer enough.

• The Hypertherm CNC control offers control of the oxy-fuel process to the fullest extent possible for the configured oxy-fuel gas system.
• If the process parameter cannot be CNC controlled, the cut chart displays the recommended value.
• Machines with a SERCOS interface and electronic pressure transducers allow the cut chart to fully control the process parameters.
• The following slides are screen captures of the Hypertherm Phoenix motion control software configured with CUT CHART support for operation of a Harris oxy-fuel torch and a machine with a SERCOS interface and electronically controlled pressure transducers .
