Acceleration data from the CCSN network now used in regional ShakeMaps

• Project is to replace old analog telemetry with digital velocity and acceleration recorders and digital telemetry.

• Addition of accelerometers provides on-scale recordings of large earthquakes.

• Increased dynamic range from digital telemetry improves small earthquake recordings, as well.

• Remote access to station data for status and parameters saves time and money on maintenance .

• Recorders at stations provide backup if telemetry goes down.
