FUNDED RESEARCH APPOINTMENTS
2014 (Spring) Research Assistant for Dr. Steve Wilson. Funded by grant from the Purdue
University Center for Families. Assisted with research examining how
family members of recently returned U.S. military service members encourage
help-seeking for mental health issues. Responsibilities included study design,
leading data coding process (for team of five), analyzing data, and manuscript
preparation.
2013-2014 Research Assistant for Dr. Ellen Ernst Kossek. Assisted with development, analysis and
manuscript preparation for research on organizational support of positive work
life/family relationships to enhance employee productivity and well-being, and
organizational adaptation to new work forms (e.g., flexible work schedules, e-working).
Also, contributed to organization/review of submissions and program development for
2014 Work and Family Researchers Network Conference.
2012 – 2013 Research Assistant for Information Technology at Purdue, Analytics Team (Supervisor:
Dr. Matt Pistilli). Assisted with development, analysis and manuscript preparation for
research aimed at examining faculty/student use of instructional technologies (e.g.,
Course Signals, BoilerCast, Mixable) at Purdue University.
2011 (Summer) Research Assistant for Dr. Felicia Roberts. Funded by grant from Clarian Health
Partners, Inc. Assisted with development and analysis of project designed to explore
educating surgical residents about ethical communication skills.
2009-2011 Research Assistant for Dr. Steve Wilson (PI). Funded by $1.5 million grant
from the Lilly Endowment. Assisted with a longitudinal evaluation of an
intergenerational family education program using mixed methods. Participated in data
collection and analysis including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observation.
