It’s BACK! Hybrids are on the rise and we want to showcase the hybrids,
hyper, and mega campers of the category! Our aim is to create an
authentic adventure for our readers alike. Leveraging our expertise on
the subject, we will build a trip that showcases beautiful destinations,
colourful characters and, of course, industry-leading products. In May 2018 we’ll hit the road to film over
five days. Expect vision of dusty plains, corrugated roads, historic
red-dirt towns, and camping under the star-filled night sky in some of Australia’s remotest locations. We
will create rich and engaging content including high-quality video and awe-
inspiring still photography. We will work with our respected editorial
team, led by Michael Borg and Emma Ryan. Our aim is to show authentic
offroad tests and increase audience engagement.

THE EVENT

Our focus in 2018 will be real-world testing, expeditions style. Obviously, we’ll take a look
at what suspension each hybrid runs, and point out the pros and cons of each. But how do we
actually test it? During the days your gear will be put to the ultimate test. While we could get all technical and bring the Starship Enterprise along to test movement, vibration, G-force etc.
But at the end of the day, most people only really care if their carton of eggs is going to break! So
let’s have a bit of fun and see which campers pass the egg test! We’ll place an equal number
of eggs in containers within each van and compare how many broke in each camper after a
few hours of driving – doesn’t get more real-world than that!
Each night is a shootout and more content production. We will time how long it takes each
hybrid to set up camp for an overnight stay – after all a quick set-up is the main reason why
people buy hybrid in the first place.

REAL-WORLD TESTINGFocusing on the story around the expedition, the video is driven by a challenge within the destination that will capture the audience’s
imagination and show offroad adventure at its best. Our expert director/videographer will be there to chart the trials and tribulations that come with pushing the hybrids to their
limits. We will venture through the stunning Australian wilderness with the team, Michael ‘Borgy’ Borg and Emma Ryan. The production will highlight the camaraderie that builds on
a trip of this nature, the personalities of those involved and of course the natural beauty of the
environment we will be travelling through.
VIDEOWe will create a custom video walk-through in
full consultation with you that highlights the key USP’s of your camper, with high production
value and expert talent.
PHOTOGRAPHYWe will deliver a range of high-quality
photography from across the week in full collaboration with you on the shot list and your
priorities.
EDITORIALWe will create a dedicated editorial review that
will feature in Caravan World and in CAMPER magazine and on the website as a key feature
as part of the Hybrid Heroes campaign.
