Suppliers Quality Systems and Special Processes will not have to be audited by Airbus, provided they have been certified by accredited third parties industry controlled
Airbus mandates its Suppliers to achieve:
Quality System EN9100 certification (International Aerospace Quality Group)
Special Process accreditation granted by a party Industry Managed
Industry Managed means:
Control of the structure (active participation at all levels)
Control of standards ( in accordance with Airbus requirements)
Control of processes (from requirements to accreditation)

Control standards by Airbus
AITF are responsible to identify and maintain the Airbus requirements to be integrated in Nadcap documents
Requirements are periodically reviewed and revised through quarterly Airbus Technical Force meetings and Nadcap meetings.
Approval for ballots of Nadcap Documents are made during the Nadcap meeting by voice voting or by mail

Nadcap in the Airbus policy - POA
Airbus is engaged in the PRI Nadcap/NUCAP management.
Airbus takes into account certificates granted by PRI Nadcap/NUCAP for all the special processes families Airbus is involved in.
In addition Airbus mandates its suppliers to gain and maintain PRI Nadcap/NUCAP certification.
Airbus performs the initial qualification for the Supplier/ Special Process couples.
During the on-going surveillance, the Airbus use of PRI Nadcap/NUCAP certification implies that Airbus will not conduct/repeat "Special Process" (SP) assessments in its current qualified couple supplier/"Special Process" unless poor performance or doubts about SP effectiveness become evident.
Use of Nadcap is accepted by EASA for Airbus agreement POA, as a Third Party Industry controlled for supplier surveillance.
