Her Status
Problems faced…
Sumayya & her family were subjected to worst forms of
torture possible, at the hands of Quraish.
Abu Jahal punished her severely, but her constant refusal to leave
Islam, enraged him. So, he martyred Sumayya
Later, Yasir bin Aamir , was also martyred.
Some of the tortures…
Good News… Prophet would often speak about the family of Yasir in the highest terms of praise. Paradise. Protection & safety from Hell-Fire. People of Ibn Sumayyah would always stand by the right & just.
In the Quran…
This family sacrificed their lives, all in order to earn the Pleasure of Allah. Its about such people that
Allah says…
Surah At-Tawba
Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have
Paradise.
[9:111]Indeed,
They fight in the cause of Allah , so they kill and are killed.
[It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the
Qur'an.And who is truer to his covenant than Allah ? So rejoice in your transaction which you
have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.
