High Quality Papers• Sometimes called “fine art” papers. Epson,

Canon, Moab, Canson, Hahnemuhle, Ilford, etc.• Share properties with watercolor, printmaking and

traditional photographic papers.• Typically 100% rag but can have a alpha cellulose

base (wood fiber base).• Papers can be mold made. Resemble handmade

paper but actually produced on a cylinder machine mold revolving in a vat of paper pulp.

Surface Finishes/Textures

unreflective, lower brightness, detail and less color vibrance.

• Metallic: Newest finish. Pearl like finish, but highly reflective.

• Baryta Papers: Glossy exhibition with added substrate of barium sulphate (claylike mineral) Closest to traditional darkroom paper.
