Our Cultural Inheritance . . .. . . and Global Hope

Prof Richard Mackay, AMwww.mackaystrategic.com.au

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which we are meeting – the Darug and Guringai people and to our Darkinjung friends to the North. I pay respect to their Elders both past and present and extend this respect to any Indigenous people in attendance today.

Aboriginal ‘Country’

As Aboriginal people our identity is inseparable from our Country. We are the people of that Country. It holds our stories, provides food and medicine to our bodies and spirit and it has been home to our people for all recorded history, as it has been home to our ancestors for tens of thousands of years.
