wascutoffat8inches.However,contractorsandfirechiefshaveagreedthatunless

thereiseminentdanger,thatanydepthgreaterthan4inches,aVacuum‐Truck

wouldbecalledout,andthenOSEIIusedtofinishthecleanupofthefuel.

KeepinmindOSEIIcauseshydrauliclift,soOSEIIwillpullthefuel/oiloutofthe

pavementsothereisnofreeproductresiduethatrainwatercouldwashinto

surroundingwaterscontaminatingthosewaters.

OSEIIalsocleansupallthefuelsothepavementisnolongerslick,whichpotentially

couldcausefurtheraccidents.

OSEIIwasalsoappliedtogasolineanddieselthathadbeenpoureddirectlyontothe

pavement,andallowedsospreadnaturally.InthesespillscenariosOSEIImixed50

to1withwaterwillrenderthefuelnon‐flammableinlessthan5minutes.

Inmostsituationsafterfuelisrenderednon‐flammable,waitapproximately20to

30minutesandyoucanwashtheeffluentawaywithoutcausinganadverseaffectto

theenvironment.

TheChartforbothgasolineanddieselwasestablished.Thedieselwillcorrelateto

jp4,jp5,jp8,andJetA.

Thesechartscanbeused,especiallyinemergencies,todeterminehowmuchOSEII

andwaterisneededfortheparticularspilledfuel.Thechartwillalsotellyoubased

onthedepthandtheamountoffuelspilled,thetimeneededforthefueltobe

renderednon‐flammable.

OSEIIwillprotectrespondersfrompotentialfireproblemsandatthesametime

detoxifythefuel,sotheeffluentcanbewashedaway.Thiswillcompletelycleanthe

pavementandprotecttheenvironmentfromtheeffluentwashdown.
