Graduate Program in SpanishFlorida State University
The Program of Spanish offers both Ph.D. and M.A. degrees and is the largest language program in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics with a total of over thirty graduate students and fourteen faculty members. Our program provides students with a wide range of unique opportunities for future success, including intensive preparation in Hispanic Literary and Cultural Studies, and Second Language Acquisition. Faculty research includes the fields of Caribbean Studies, U.S. Latino Studies, Amazonian Studies, Queer Studies, Early Hispanic Studies, Second Language Acquisition, Formal Linguistics, and Sociolinguistics. We offer several types of awards for outstanding candidates, including Graduate Teaching Assistantships, and Winthrop-King Enhanced Teaching Assistantships. Review of applications will begin on February 15, 2014.
