Some Samples of How We

are Using the Technology

ELA

• The iPad has been an invaluable resource for

strengthening text evidence skills in language arts.

– annotating electronic copies of texts in iBooks and in

GoodReader, a skill which targets the Common Core standards

involving text evidence and interpreting devices.

– iBooks is the app which reads any EPUB file that contain plays,

poems, short stories, and novels available for free at sites like

Internet Archive and Project Gutenberg.
