Technology Development would like to increase the faculty’s involvement in

technology commercialization and technology development by connecting the labs with

our Basic Science Faculty Liaison, Clinical Faculty Liaison and Director of

Biopharmaceutical Product Development.

Technology Commercialization manages the technology portfolio and

seeks commercialization opportunities for new technologies resulting from innovative

research on campus.

UT Southwestern’s OTD has received issuance on over 600 U.S. patents, and has

executed more than 700 license agreements for a variety of patented and non-patented

technologies.*

Cooperative and Sponsored Research may assist your lab in

navigating the various legal agreements governing the development and transfer of

intellectual property such as:

Material Transfer Agreement (MTA), Data Use Agreement (DUA), Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA),

Collaborative Research Agreement (CRA) Visiting Scientist Agreement (VSA) and Sponsored Research Agreement (SRA).
