There are many sets of waterfalls in close proximity to Revelstoke which require very little effort and awesome rewards. Begbie Falls,
Sutherland Falls, and Moses Falls should definitely be on the hit list! Many nearby waterfalls are accessible by only a short walk, and
make for incredible photo opportunities.
A completely under-utilized paradise, Lake Revelstoke (above the Revelstoke Dam on Highway 23 North) is perfect for a day of flat water
canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, or kayaking. There are many areas to explore, including paddle- up waterfalls. The water is cold
but the views are amazing! The Selkirk Mountains dominate the views on the east side of Lake Revelstoke and the Monashee Mountains
on the west side.
Head south on Highway 23 and cross the ferry, and you'll have your choice of hotsprings to visit. Travelers with a taste for adventure
will enjoy Halfway Hotsprings, a recreation site accessible by a logging road and a short (but steep!) hike. Halcyon Hot Springs offers a
more accessible experience,. It's a developed hot spring with great views over Upper Arrow Lake.
If 150 kilometres of open highway, pristine creeks, and a gorgeous lake surrounded by mountains appeals to you, then making the trip
up Highway 23 North towards the Mica Dam will be an unforgettable experience. The quiet, winding highway is the perfect place to
take your road bike or motorcycle. For families looking for a camping trip, Martha Creek Provincial Park has equipped campsites with
access to a dock, a boat ramp, and a playground. Further up the Lake, a number of more rustic campsites and hiking trails will offer a
chance to kick back in a quiet setting and take it all in.
