O Come Let Us Adore Him!
2
Dear Parishioners,
Happy 4th Sunday of Advent!! Tonight we begin our
Christmas celebrations. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! The day is
here! We celebrate the birth of Jesus who came to show us the way and
save us from our sins. Halleluiah!! Jesus, who is God, the 2nd person of the
Blessed Trinity from the beginning, was willing to come on earth as a human
being to offer mercy, forgiveness, healing and hope. We are blessed.
Special thanks to all of our hardworking people who planned and
supported our Simbang Gabi Misa de Gallo tradition at Holy Family! The
Masses were beautiful and it was a fun-filled and engaging opportunity to be
strengthened in anticipation of the birth of our Lord. The salo salo
breakfasts afterwards were a treat. A lot of hard work and planning went into
our Simbang Gabi tradition here at Holy Family, under the coordination of
our Fil-Am council. Also many thanks to those who handled the planning of
our Las Posadas tradition here at Holy Family! It was beautiful.
A big thank you to all of our Altar Society members. Our Altar
Society members serve us in so many ways. One of the big tasks that they
assist the church with is the handling of the altar linens. These members
work hard to wash and press and fold the linens and return them to the
church. We are extremely grateful for their hard work and volunteer service
to our parish. So, thank you!
Another big thank you to our environment team who worked this
week to prepare our church for Christmas. Thank you to all who made
donations for the wreaths and poinsettias.
We continue to pray for all those who have suffered the recent fires
in California. Please see page 7 for an opportunity to help financially. There
is also still time to contribute to assist our sister parish in Haiti. Please see
page 3 for information on how to help.
We have our Annual Winter Dinner Dance coming up on February
10, 2018. The theme is Mardi Gras. These Winter Dinner dances are
amazing. Please consider coming for food and fellowship and lots of
dancing with Fr. Xavier.
We are blessed to have you in our midst. Thanks for celebrating
with us and being a part of Holy Family. You are always welcome here at
your home at Holy Family. Please let us know if there is any way that we
can assist you on your spiritual journey. We love you! Merry Christmas,
Maligayang Pasko and Feliz Navidad!! Happy New Year!!
Christmas blessings-
Fr. Jim Bevacqua, Pastor

Help religious communities. “Your generous contribution helps us to care for our retired sisters and enables our younger sisters to continue in active ministry,” writes a religious sister. Your gift to today’s collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious helps provide medications, nursing care, and more for thousands of senior sisters, brothers, and religious order priests. It also helps ensure younger members can continue the good works of their elders!
As we take a moment from our busy
lives to celebrate the glorious day of
our Savior’s birth, we pray your
holidays are filled with love, and
your New Year filled with peace.
Merry Christmas!

David Parkes is not just another Irish singer. He’s a man with a purpose. David was a fallen
away Catholic who didn’t take time for God and was stricken with illness. He suffered for
many years with Chron’s disease and, after ten major operations, was told by his doctors that there was nothing
more they could do for him. Although he was not overly interested in religion, he accepted an invitation for him and
his wife to go to Medjugorje. While there he reluctantly attended a healing Mass and received a miraculous healing.
On his return to Ireland he showed no further symptoms of Chron’s disease and continues to be free of this deadly
disease. Then God and Blessed Mother became a big part of his life and he began producing religious songs. He
released his first album in the United States “Let Me Live” (a beautiful pro-life song). For more information please call

saludable.
