Foreword
Justice Virender Singh
Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand cum Patron-in-Chief, JHALSA
It is a matter of great contentment that Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority is publishing this Special Issue of Nyaya Dagar (2014-2016), Which is yet another step matching its objectives and commitments for ensuring Access to Justice to women, children, victims of undeserved want and most marginalized sections of society. As we all know that Legal Services Institutions should work as one stop centre for redressal of all kinds of grievances and JHALSA is taking sincere efforts to achieve this goal. Through its resources, JHALSA must act first at the time of human tragedies and Natural calamities. This issue of Nyaya Dagar throws light over the delightful journey and achievements that have been scaled by JHALSA from 2014 to 2016. Though lots of work has been done, but we should not be complacent and strive hard to wipe the tears of all tearful eyes. It is also a matter of satisfaction that JHALSA is playing a vital role in combating with the menace of Witchcraft practices prevailing in the state.
Before parting with, I would like to express my confidence in the working of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority with more results in future by extending help to yet many more people in need delivering justice at their door steps.
Justice Virender Singh
The Popular conception of Legal Services Institution is that court fees and services of Panel Lawyers are provided free of cost to women, children, differently abled persons, victims of undeserved want and marginalized sections of society.
But the dimension of activities has expanded manyfolds. Now it has emerged as one stop centre for redressal of all type of grievances. With the Launch of Seven Schemes of NALSA our responsibility has increased tremendously. Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority has always remained in the forefront in implementing the various schemes of NALSA by reaching out benefits to the People for whom the same is targeted for.
Past is always capable of showing us our weakness and strength as also as to how to work better.
With immense pleasure we are coming up with the Special Issue of Nyaya Dagar (2014-2016), an official Newsletter of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority so that everybody may benefit from our work and experience.

I must disclose my deepest gratitude to My Lord Justice Virender Singh, Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand-cum-Patron-in-Chief, JHALSA for His Lordship’s continuous support without which we would not have achieved success in every direction.
OurVedassay:
“Life without goodness, good thoughts, goodactions and good words is like the sky in the night without the moon or stars. It is like a wheel without a hub or spokes! No one can push a
boulder away while standing on it; you cannot be free from anxiety while all the entrances through which it sneaks are open” (...Atharva Veda)
At JHALSA, we firmly believe that humanity and compassion is the solid foundation of all virtues and all the members of the JHALSA family must be humane and compassionate and they must practice five things under all circumstances - gravity, generosity of soul, sincerity, earnestness and kindness.
Legal services personnel must not waste any time nor should they defer any thing for next day as the person in need of legal service deserves relief atonce.OurRishishavesaid:

Before concluding, I reiterate that no stone shall be left unturned in realising the dreams of constitution and fellow countrymen.
