Thefirststageofworksfocusesontheenhancementofexistingfacilitiesatthesportpavilionandovalarea.Arelativelymodestoutlayoffundswillmakethesemoreuseabletoawidergroupofbothvisitorsandlocalresidents.

Abroadtidyupoftheareaaroundtheovalandbuildingstocleanawayrubbishandunusedderelictstructureswillimprovethepresentationofthesite.

Repairandimprovehandrails,ramps,pavedsurfacesandfences.

Relocateunusedfurnitureatthefringesofthesite(i.e.benchesathockeyground)tothecentralfacilityareawheretheywillgetmoreuseandinstallmorepicnicsettingsundertreesinthecampingareas.

Installbarrierstoprotecttreerootsfromcompaction(fromparking)andembarkonatreeplantingprogramme-getasmanyshadetreesgoingasyoucan.Tryandplantinclustersthatwillprovidenicecampingandparkingsettingsinthefuture.
