Scope - ‘conventional’ tower cranes on construction sites

Requirements Notify to HSE certain information:

crane owner/lessor details;address of construction site;crane identification details;date of thorough examination (t/e);t/e carried out for whom? Details;did t/e reveal defects ‘reportable’ defects?

– the numbers of registrations by duty-holders;

– number of enquiries from the public;

– enforcement and other activity taken by HSE inspectors in relation to Regulations

Operational Work

• Head office visits done - report prepared and results shared with tower crane industry body

• Industry committed to full competence 31.12.2010

• 2010 – 11 plan shifts emphasis to on site visits with contractors

• Follow up work on design underway on early HSL results (wind)
