Triptych’s Triptych = is a work of art (usually a panel
painting) which is divided into three sections. Originates from early Christian art. Center panel is usually the main focus Other panels are usually a continuation of the
scene or are related to the center picture.

Project guidelines/objectives:› Create a non-objective triptych› Triptych must relate to each other in some
way. (either a continuation of each other, or relate in subject to each other)
› Use different types of lines and shapes.› No identifiable objects.› Use watercolors to paint final piece.
Schedule of project Day 1 (Nov. 9)
› Power-point› Work in sketchbook to come up with an idea for ALL 3 pieces of the
triptych. Sketchbook – needs outside boxes 2.5 x 5 and middle box 5x5
Day 2 (Nov. 10)› Continue working on ideas/design› Get Design approved. › Using colored pencils color sketchbook design how you want to paint
it. Day 3 (Nov. 11)
› Continue coloring sketchbook design.› Transfer design over from sketchbook to watercolor paper (LIGHTLY!!)
Day 4 (Nov. 12)› Continue transferring ideas to watercolor paper› Watercolor demo
