Canadian Arctic Canoe Expedition

This once-in-a-lifetime experience to study and travel in the Canadian Arctic will be offered in2013. Highlights for past participants have been wolves, musk ox, northern birds, wildflowers,Inuit people, archeological sites, whitewater, leadership skills, and the group experience.Students will receive a total of 6 credits, by taking one course in the winter semester (AUGEO341-science, 342-arts, or AUPED 387) and one course in the spring semester (AUGEO 343 orAUPED 388). The prerequisites are 3 credits in geography and 3 credits of AUPED 184 or 286.The winter semester courses will start in January, 2013 (Tues/Thurs 9:25-10:40). The 3-weekexpedition will take place sometime between late June and late July of 2013. The deadline forapplications is Friday, March 30, 2012 (submit to Meaghan Goebel, C100, Classroom Building).An interview may be scheduled before classes are finished.
