Work with Young People
Throughout the Derrington Way Ahead initiative children and young people have been encouraged to get involved. They have provided ideas, energy and practical help – from planting apple trees and hedgerows to helping make community benches; from cycling and walking more to growing food at home and school; from thinking about energy and water conservation to creating places for wildlife in the garden and in school grounds; from making nest boxes and bat boxes to recycling – our local children continue to show how much they care for the environment and their local community too.
