Industrial Maintenance Technology Curricular
Updates
19
As a result of FY16 Program Review:
• No clear path for certificate completion
• Students not completing in a timely manner
• No morning courses offered
•Afternoon and evening only
• Stand alone certificates that by themselves do not lead to
gainful employment
• Certificates are not meeting industry needs/emerging trends
Industrial Maintenance Technology Curricular
Updates
20
The Curricular modifications….• Name Change, from ‘Integrated Systems Technology’ to
‘Industrial Maintenance Technology’
• Modifications of Certifications
• Pre-requisite adjustments
• Proficiency Credit adjustments
• 8-week certificate completion scheduling
•Student needs
•Employer needs
• Update curriculum
• Modify class objectives to meet industry needs
