The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), the premier Asian professionals’

that cultivates and empowers Asian & Pacific Islander leaders through professional development,
community service, and networking. NAAAP members collaborate to accelerate the career success of
Asians & Pacific Islanders and to make a positive impact in communities.
Founded in 1982, NAAAP now has a presence in 26 cities in the United States and Canada. With more

Talent Acquisition NAAAP is very proud of the quality of our membership base. Our organization is made up of highly
motivated and capable individuals. We all share one passion and that is to recognize leaders and to

Talent Development NAAAP at the national level and at local chapter &
venture locations are a source of quality
professional development and learning. Programs
include leadership, communications, public speaking,
CEO meet/greets, dress for success, women in
leadership, and personal branding. Many NAAAP
sponsoring companies and organizations avail their
Asian associates and leaders of their ERG (Employee
Resource Groups) to these NAAAP programs.

NAAAP partners with organizations such as
Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP),
Spectrum Knowledge, and Project Management
Institute (PMI) to provide training and CEU’s.
Corporate & Business
Advisory Council NAAAP is the process of identifying individuals to
serve on a committee to advise NAAAP’s strategies
for engaging corporate, association and govern-
mental agencies. NAAAP desires to remain at the
cutting edge of providing high ROI for its partnerships.
This Council will be formed by first quarter-2012 and
will help advice NAAAP staff and board members in various aspects of NAAAP programs including the
2012 National Convention in New York City.

Corporate Citizenship & Goodwill As a sponsor of NAAAP, your organization will show a strong commitment to the community of Asian &
Pacific Islander professionals in North America. NAAAP is proud to be the largest Pan-Asian and pan-
professional organization in North America that is well regarded for providing valuable professional
development education and networking opportunities.
NAAAP is a premier channel for individuals who wish to develop leadership skills and create positive
impact. As a sponsor or partner of NAAAP, your associates can volunteer for a variety of roles in the
NAAAP national leadership and/or at the local level. Roles are available in business development,

Below are current national programs. Each year new national programs are developed, often times in
partnership with sponsoring companies and organizations.
Annual Leadership Academy On February 24-26, 2012 NAAAP national leaders and officers of chapters and ventures will gather in
Phoenix, Arizona to share best practices, develop personal skills and work together to build a strong
NAAAP organization. This is a uniquely intimate program that allows the approximately 120 attendees
to network and focus on leadership development. We welcome sponsors to support the Academy.

Each year, NAAAP hosts a national convention and an accompanying career fair. Open to the general
public, our conventions generally attract between 800-1,100 attendees. The convention helps to fulfill
our mission: to cultivate and empower leaders, connect
accomplished professionals, engage with the community, and
inspire members to make a meaningful difference.
Our recently completed 2011 convention in Boston featured:
• 680 full conference registrants plus 100+ volunteers, and 500
additional career fair attendees
• More than 80 speakers & program facilitators
• 45 sponsors and exhibitors
• Special programs for ERG’s (Employee Resource Groups)
• Sponsor companies using the convention as a meeting hub for
their ERG leaders from different regions of the country

to the public at no charge. This
ensures high traffic at the event.
• Attendees are highly qualified and are

• National and regional marketing
campaigns will be launched targeting
previous sponsors, attendees, and
regional contacts. These campaigns
will include the host city’s Asian &
Pacific Islander population, local
Asian businesses and non-profit
organizations, and nearby universities
and colleges.
• A diverse and broad range of Asians & Pacific Islanders are expected to attend, ranging in age
from 18 to 50+ and across all professions, educational levels, and geographical locations.
• An Internet Café will be available to promote traffic and allow attendees to have free access to
corporate websites, job postings, vendors, online applications and e-mail.
• Premium level sponsors will receive priority allocation and assignment of booth space on a first

Workshops
NAAAP Convention workshops aim to grow attendees both professionally and personally. While our
main focus is on leadership development, we also feature workshops in the categories of community
service, politics, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and more.
Women in NAAAP! (WIN!) Launched in 2009, Women in NAAAP (WIN!) is a special program created and developed to foster the
development of competent and confident women leaders within NAAAP and in the Asian & Pacific
Islander community. With your partnership, you have the opportunity to sponsor WIN! and its
leadership training programs, and support its objectives which include:
• Equipping Asian & Pacific Islander women with skills, confidence, and resources to
effectively lead in a multicultural environment

ERG Summit In response to requests by several NAAAP Sponsors, we will be organizing up to three Asian Pacific
Islander ERG (Employee Resource Group) Summits in 2012. This will be an opportunity for officers and
leaders of ERG’s to come together and share best practices. We will engage the newly formed
Corporate & Business Advisory Council to help us design an ERG Summit experience that is relevant to
participating organizations.

NAAAP 100: Recognizing Leaders For more than a century, Asians have overcome obstacles to make significant contributions in both the
United States and Canada. Their contributions have added tremendously to the success and prosperity
of North America. NAAAP is a leadership development organization that provides a broad range of
