DESCRIPTION

Mumukshuppadi is a classic Thenkalai work by the Shri Vaishnava Saint Pillai Lokacharya, revered in the Thennacharya Tradition. Mumukshu means "An aspirant of Moksha", with 'Moksha' meaning liberation from worldly bondage, in the simplest rendition of such a complex and loaded term. Mumukshuppadi lays out Shri Pillai Lokacharya's view on God, the individual soul, Shri Piratti (Lakshmi, the wife of Lord Shriman Narayana and the mother of us humans) The Thenkalai stalwart Shri Manavala Mamunigal who came after Shri Pillai Lokacharya also revered this text greatly. Here is the great Mumukshuppadi with the Venerable Shri Prathivadi Bhayangaram Annangaracharya giving a detailed commentary pregnant with the wisdom and rich theological insights of the Thennacharya tradition.
