What is multimedia?

Multimedia is simply multiple forms of media integrated together. Media can be text, graphics, audio, animation, video, and data.

We use forms of multimedia everyday and it is becoming a huge part of our lifestyles.

Evolution of Multimedia

Multimedia has been around for centuries .

First known type of multimedia was the newspaper which came about around 1455.

The first radio was developed in 1920 In 1940 the first color television was

broadcasted.

Multimedia today

Today, most of our media generates through computers such as music, videos , advertisements, and television .

Our brain uses multiple senses to learn and interpret things.

Instead of just giving lectures, we can use images and audio to support a lesson and make it a better learning experience.
