Pictures - Choose furniture, appliances, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, etc. for each room. Use magazines, catalogs, or the Internet. Minimum # of color pictures: 4 per room. (Refer to p.513)

Samples - Choose floor covering, wall finish, upholstery, counter top, backsplash, and window treatments for rooms. Wrap fabrics around mat board for a better presentation. Minimum # of samples: 4 per room. The same sample can count for more than one room. (Refer to p.51)

Floor Plan – Add detail, pattern & texture to YOUR Floor Plan. Color Floor Plan according to chosen pictures & samples.

4 Legends/Keys – For EACH room & house, create a separate Legend/Key & #’d labels that simply state what will go where. Clarify samples/pictures with plan. Word process. Check spelling. (Refer to p.515-516)

Mounting Neatly & securely prepare each picture and sample by trimming evenly. Mount on contrasting neutral paper. Neatly prepare/wrap fabric, neatly glue. If room is available include additional accent samples/pictures to enhance style.

LayoutGroup samples & pictures together by room, overlap samples & pictures to show what they look like together, place in numerical order, display smaller samples & pictures on top of larger samples & pictures. Balance parts to size of board, show variation in scale of samples & pictures based on role they play in room.
