Teams•Teams will be the platform for all live instruction.•Teams allows for face-to-face interaction between teacher and students.•Students will be able to ask questions in the chat window as live instruction occurs.•Students will be able to click on a hand icon to notify teacher they have a question or want to respond.•Please be on time for meetings with the class to prevent being marked tardy or absent.

Canvas•Canvas will be the platform to access digital lessons.•Canvas allows students to submit work for teachers to check for understanding and to grade.•Students will need to click on the assigned daily button to access that day’s lesson for each subject.•If absent from school all make up work will be accessible to the student however live instruction will be missed.

•Password will be their lunch number

•This will not be used as a main communication tool but should be checked daily.

•Class Dojo will be the platform to access digital reminders, class updates, and contact teacher.•When replying to a teacher message your response will be placed in a private chat. Other parents will not be able to see your responses.•Please use the school hours to contact your child’s online teacher.•Upon completion of the school day the teacher will not be able to receive messages.•Please allow time for a response due to teaching live.

•Class Dojo is our primary communication tool during school hours and will allow for the quickest response.•After school hours please contact me through my email address danielle.steele@stlucieschools.org•Please allow for a 24 hour response window to your email.

My School Etiquette •Please log in 5 minutes prior to class to ensure you are not marked tardy or absent.•Turn off your microphone until called upon.•Turn on camera when joining class.•Have all of your materials on your desk with you.•Set up your learning environment in a quiet location free from distractions, at a table or desk, with your headphones on during all class meetings. Only drinks are allowed during live lessons.•Please be dressed in appropriate school attire (i.e. no pajamas or bathing suits)•Always be respectful of others and use appropriate language live in class and through discussion boards.
