THE NUTRITION NUGGET Dairy foods contain important things like protein, calcium,

potassium and magnesium that are a key part of a healthy diet.

Low-fat and fat-free milk, yogurt and low-fat cheese are

healthier choices because they contain less fat than whole milk,

ice cream, regular cheese and yogurt.

There are a lot of ways to get your 3 servings of dairy every

day. Try some of these!

THE NUTRITION NUGGET As we grow, the body uses the mineral

calcium to build strong bones and teeth.

This process is almost complete by the time

you are a teenager, which is why it is so

important that you get enough while you

are young!

Dairy products are the number one source of

calcium in our diet.

You can get enough calcium by choosing 3

servings of dairy each day.
