RED DOOR EVENT Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great evening at Red Door for pizza, drinks and beer pong on Thursday 28 September. A massive thank you goes to our sponsors Thornton Legal, without whom we would not have been able to host such a wonderful networking event. Congratulations also to our raffle winners! We were able to raise a brilliant £320 on the night which will all be going towards our chosen charity Clatterbridge and to our Corporate Challenge total. This was a fantastic way to kick off the 2017/2018 MJLD Committee year and we look forward to seeing as many people at our next events

Meet your 2017-2018 Committee!
This month Vice-Chair
Mike Fagan
1. Describe yourself
in one word.
Rule Breaker.
2. Do you have any hidden talents?
Can rap the entirety of ‘Rappers Delight’
by the Sugarhill Gang. Extended version.
I also have enyclopedic knowledge of
obscure 90’s footballers (big-up Egil
Ostenstad)
3. Do you have a claim to fame?
Once served room service to Barry
Chuckle, of ‘Chucklebrothers’ fame.
Tipped £5 too. Fish and chips with a pint
of Carlsberg, in case you’re wondering
4. What is your favourite TV
programme or series?
Sopranos, could watch all day every day.
Likewise with The Office
5. What is your favourite thing about
being on the MJLD Committee, and
which has been your favourite event?
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know so
many people in the industry. My
favourite event was probably Shiverpool
last year whereby I was made to act out
death by dysentery. Safe to say, acting is
not my hidden talent…

Clatterbridge
Committee members attended at the launch of Clatterbridge’s Corporate Challenge at the Jury’s Inn,
Albert Dock. As well as hearing from some truly inspiring
fundraisers, the MJLD has committed to turning £50 into a
minimum of £1,000 within 6 months as part of the challenge.
We are calling on all of our members to help the MJLD to win the
challenge; the benchmark was set by last year’s victors who raised a
whopping £6,000, but we are sure we can surpass this sum with
your help to raise funds for such an important cause!
SAVE THE DATE! Thursday 7 December open mic night at The Attic on Parr Street – all funds raised
going towards Clatterbridge.
