for industry lobbyists to have industry expertise. Lobbyists often advise

legislators or even help to write legislation.

What is a PAC?

Formed (by a business or interest group) to raise money to influence

elections

Interest Groups and Cartoons

• Go around the room, for five minutes just look over the cartoons.

• Then Choose ten and explain the meaning.

• Decide whether this portrays a positive image or negative image of Interest Groups and Why.
