    Modernismgainedpopularityasaprotesttotheexistingsociety,socialinstitutionsandthewaytheyfunctioned.However,inliterature,itdeclinedafteraperiodastheworksconcentratedmoreonthewriterslineofthoughtinanabstractmanner,which made them difficult to understand. However, there are some writers who find this style more comfortable forpresentingtheirideologiesandfollowthisschoolofthoughtevennow.
