1 Objectives of WABEF European Biogas Tour Reminder: Wabef in one slide
Figure 1: Wabef in one slide During this tour we will focus on the technical part of the value chain introduced in Figure 1. The objectives of WP1 are: 1- to identify an array of relevant anaerobic digestion technologies adaptable and viable in the Sudano-Sahelian context; 2- to assess them into the local context using a simulation model; 3- and to compare them in order to support decision making. T1.1 – Inventory of experiences employing anaerobic digestion technologies of biowaste adapted to Sudano-Sahelian context Identify operational anaerobic digestion technologies in Africa and elsewhere in the world suitable to the target countries situation, building on experience of the projects partners and their network relatives, on the
bibliography (existing scientific data), industrial references and on plant visits in 3 countries in Europe and 2 countries in Africa other than the targeted countries. Indigenous knowledge and learning from AEDR and SONGHAI experiences will be also considered. UCAD and representatives of all African partners will focus on the African part of the activity. RUAF and the EASE network, Cirad and UCAD will specifically focus on identifying technologies for medium to large-scale biodigestion available in Europe and asses their relevance and compatibility for Sudano-Sahelian countries. Experiences will be gathered into a user-friendly compendium and the corresponding data and information will be uploaded into a data warehouse to serve the task T1.2.
2 Your arrival in Amsterdam Upon arrival, Jean-Michel Médoc will be waiting at the begining of the arrival platform of your Thalys 9339 scheduled at 15:24 in Schiphol Airport Amsterdam Railway station. In case you can not find him, go to the meeting point of the station. You can also call him on +221 77 291 64 32.
