Planchet Metallurgy

Planchets are round disks punched from large metal sheets. (blank coin)

The sheets are formed from recycled scratch metal.

After round disks are punched out, they undergo rim formation.

Die Production Dies are

stamps used to imprint images on coins. The size of coins Made of steel

The imprint initially begins with a master art work which is then manipulated to fit the size of the die .
