GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES:
1. REMOVE ALL DUCTWORK AND ASSOCIATED INSULATION SHOWN AS DASHED
LINES ON DEMOLITION PLAN. CAP OR PATCH OPENINGS IN EXISTING TO REMAIN
DUCT MAINS. SEAL PATCHES TO SMACNA STANDARDS FOR 2" PRESSURE CLASS.
RE-INSULATE PATCHES IN SUPPLY DUCTS WITH R-6 INSULATION. ALL INSULATION
MUST HAVE A CONTINUOUS VAPOR BARRIER AT ALL SEAMS.
2. REMOVE ALL DUCT SUPPORTS, HANGERS AND CABLES ABOVE CEILING THAT ARE
NOT BEING USED.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL PATCH OPENINGS IN WALLS WHERE DUCTS ARE REMOVED.
MC MUST FIRE SEAL OPENINGS IN FIRE RATED WALLS.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL CLEAN WALLS BELOW CEILINGS WHERE REMOVED
MATERIALS EXPOSE WALLS, PATCH HOLES, SAND AND PAINT TO MATCH
EXISTING WALLS.
5. ALL EQUIPMENT REMOVED IS PROPERTY OF OWNER. SALVAGE OR DISPOSE PER
OWNER'S DIRECTION.
6. REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING LAY IN CEILINGS AS NECESSARY FOR REMOVAL
AND INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE CONSTRUCTION WORK HOURS AND SPACE
