Tan “Castle Wall” stone for walls around gardens, tree, and planting bed in front.

Sundial (2’ high X 14’ diameter)

Flowers to beautify the gardens

The “Big Shoes” Mrs. McDermott left to fill.

Plaque for Mrs. McDermott (if authorized)

to sidewalk, flanking the walkway, and encasing two existing plant beds)

About the Gardens:

Mrs. McDermott served the people of Old Bridge)

In the Gardens

For Immediate Planting: Boxwood shrubs for year-round greenery Perennial flowers including: Portulaca,

Sweet Alyssum, and Daylily. Several annuals for the summer such as

Marigolds, Daisies (until perennials are planted in fall)

In Both Gardens-

Mums, Crocus, Daffodil, Iris, and other perennial bulbs.

The garden will have plants all year round but will be fairly low maintenance.

For the Fall:

Planting bed on front left side of building will have a ring of the Castle Wall bricks around it to give it a finished look, and stop the dirt from washing out into the gravel.

Tree at the corner will also have a ring of the bricks to make it look prettier.

Arborvitae behind the gardens next to the doors.

Other improvements:

Flowers/bulbs- $200 Sun Dial- $80 Big Shoes- $10

Memorial Plaque- TBD
