him full time.

THese two different design boards are representing the two bedroom schemes for a client. There were specific things she

requested, like the bed and the leather cornice with nailhead trim, but the rest was up to me.

Ms. Blue wanted a new look for her bedroom and here are a few of the options I presented to her.

A Whole - Home color paint scheme meant to create a sense of connectedness

The eat-in kitchen to be used by a young family, including two boys!

THe Formal dining room of a client who wanted warm rich colors in a traditional yet young feeling room. She loved deep

jewel tones and wanted the entire room, from the drapes to the table setting to coordinate.

The MASTER bedroom as a place for the adults to relax and retreat.

The challenge of this sitting room design was working with the furniture that the client already owned to create a

tasteful tv room. She had brought with her a rather contemporary sofa and had recently purchased a traditional and

formal tv console and side table. using transitional fabric for drapes and pillows, and a complementary rug with a barely-

there pattern i proposed a comfortable room that conceals the major style differences in furniture.

Exterior finish selections for a custom built home in texas. This home was being built for a young husband and wife as their

first real home and one that they planned on growing into. they desired a home that spoke the same material language as

the landscape of texas but also a home that would stand apart from the others in the neighborhood. Overwhelmed by the

amount of choices and design decisions that had to be made I was called on to help!

I created multiple exterior finish schemes to help the couple visualize what their home would look like with all the

different materials combined.

Exterior masonry choices and my reasoning for each of the selections I made. Selections were made depending on the overall

feel they would give the home and how well they could be combined with other finishes such as lighting, shutters, roof

coloring, and exterior paint choices.

Exterior finish and color schemes to show how a single change can make the whole plan convey a different atmosphere.

A bedroom for a young boy done two different ways. His mom had bought a few cool “surfer dude” accessories and wanted

a room that would incorporate them into the overall design. We both agreed that the room should be “boy” but not “little

boy” in order to make it a space that her son could grow into. As with a lot of the projects seen here, this is for a military

family so the focus was on combining accessories that could be packed up and moved to the next army base.

“Magic” Carpets - A guest posting on The Graduate wife blog on easy decorating solutions for renters.

IN my Guest post for the graduate wife blog I illustrated what a large difference adding a rug can make. The addition of a

rug can pull together the colors of a room, addi interesting texture, and generally make the space feel more welcoming and

cozy.

The paint scheme and design board of a master bedroom, the client wanted a room that she could minimally transition from

one season to the next.

that incorporated some of their pre-existing furniture, the final decision was made to go with the green scheme!
