Add Music• Music was chosen for them.• From freeplaymusic.com, we choose American

Folk theme; Blue Ridge Mountain Mist.• Each student imported this music. The music

is part of custom animations. It needs to be first on the list so that the music starts at the beginning of the show.

• Make sure music is long enough for the show. I added the same music again on the slide if it ran out.

Music Tips

• After inserting the music, Choose Automatically.

• Slide the music icon off slide so it does not show.

• Choose the down arrow from the music title, and choose Effect Options, under stop playing, select the number of the last slide. This will keep music playing throughout the show.

Background and Transitions

• Students had to choose one background for all slides. Under Design, Background Styles, Apply to all.

• Under Animations; choose a transition style. We allowed students to have a different transition style for each slide.

Animations

• Under Animations, choose Custom Animations.

• Select section to be animated. • Add Effect: Entrance, Emphasis, Exit, and

Motion Paths.

Rehearse Timings

• Under the Slide Show tab, choose Rehearse Timings.

Celebration

• We burned each presentation to a CD.• A parent night was held. Students came to the

lab and watched their student’s Power Point.• They moved to the classroom to see projects
