Learning Objectives

• Participants will have a better understanding of the changes being
made to MAVEN as users of the system
• MAVEN users will view the new user interface
• MAVEN users will see new icons and be able to understand what their
functionality does while using the system
• MAVEN users will have a better understanding of key functionality
– searching for cases
– splash screen configurability
– dashboard changes
– running reports

Edit - Configure Splash Screen
Pencil - Configure title bars on Splash Screen and add event notes
when in a MAVEN event
Plus - Expands section
Minus - Collapses section
Refresh - Refreshes section
History - Lists the user’s last visited sections in MAVEN
Person - See only your notes in the Note section of an event
Globe - See all the notes in the Note section of an event

• Click on to make each section configurable. Click and
drag section to new location and save changes.

Security and Confidentiality rules
Security and Confidentiality rules apply to both MDPH and Non-MDPH
Users.
• Never share your username and password with another person -
including when training new staff or when going on leave
• Never login in a public space where others could view the computer
screen
• Never login on to an unsecured wireless network
• Only login on to Division Director-approved computers or devices
• Never share any case information with unauthorized individuals
• View information for purposes of surveillance and case management only
• Report to ISIS-Help when vacating your position or taking an extended
leave of absence
Violating any of the above may result in termination of your access to
MAVEN. 16
