Mark Twain – an American writer of adventure stories

His real name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens. Many people think that Twain’s books marked the beginning of modern American literature. His best works are: “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”.

Agatha Christie – an English writer of detective stories

Agatha Christie is known all over the world as the Queen of Crime. Her books have been translated into 103 foreign languages. Her best novel is “Murder on the Orient Express”.

Lewis Carroll – an English writer of children’s stories

His real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. The author liked children and wrote especially for them. His most famous writing is “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.
