Application Submission ProtocolProcess Steps
Starting on October 1, 2015, all applications for the Midwest Region, including Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Milwaukee, must be sent to a single point of contact for processing. The following procedures will be implemented to ensure the timely processing of applications: 1. Early requests for FHA #’s in conjunction with Pay.gov application fee submissions should
be sent to chi.fhanumber@hud.gov
2. Lenders will submit 2 electronic copies (thumb drives) of the applications to:Chicago Regional Center, Production DivisionAttention: Stephen OttU.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development77 West Jackson Boulevard, Suite 2300Chicago, IL 60604-3507

3. Applications will be uploaded and assigned to a hub/satellite office for processing;
4. Lenders will be notified of the office processing the application and receive instructions from the assigned underwriter on where to forward hard copies of the application;
5. Until further notice, all concept meetings will be conducted in the respective Regional Center or Satellite Office.
