The ChallengeThis leader in alternative furniture manufactures unique products designed to provide optimal levels of
comfort. Dedicated to enhancing their customers’ relaxation, the company provides a two-lifetime guarantee
on their products and is constantly brainstorming for new product inventions. Before Campaigner, the
company used a home grown email platform that only sent broadcast messages. Without any personalization
or tracking capabilities, the company was forced to send the same message to all of their 20,000 subscribers.
Additionally, email deployment took up to three days making it a very time consuming process. With no way
to determine whether the entire list was successfully deployed or whether the campaign was effective, the
company saw little impact on their bottom line.

The Solution
The company moved their current contact list over to Campaigner and began appending their contact data

Building and profiling their list The company’s original list was five years old, included email addresses and the occasional first name,
and needed to be cleaned. Using Campaigner’s reports, old contacts and those who consistently were

company also hosted contests to encourage new subscriptions and to learn more about current subscribers.
Contestants provided name, email, birthday, phone number, postal address, gender, and depending on the
prize, household income and family size information. Prizes ranged from T-shirts to pillow sacs, to a grand
prize sectional sofa worth over $2,000.
Targeting communicationsThe company sends out regular emails, including newsletters, promotions and upcoming events. Based on the
information collected, like contest registration or warranty purchases, contacts are segmented. These groups
make it easy for the company to create relevant content more likely to be `ead. Looking to the future, the
company hopes to incorporate geographical and past purchase data to further improve email relevance.
Improving campaign visibilityWith Campaigner reports, the company gauges the effectiveness of each campaign. With improved sender
reliability from their past platform, the company can judge their deliverability rate and more effectively
manage their list. Before using Campaigner, the company did not know who opened each email or who
